Drug Possession High on Tuesday

Marijuana and other drug charges made for a busy Tuesday for local law enforcement.

A total of 11 inmates booked for drug possession had the San Angelo Police Department, Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and the DPS’s hands full.

Out of the 11, six were specified as marijuana and one as methamphetamine.

Theft came in second with five inmates booked, while alcohol related crimes were down to one public intoxication and two DWI’s.

An even total of 26 inmates were booked into and released from Tom Green County Jail.
