According to a press release from the City, Johnson Street’s southbound lanes will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5. The closure, which will span from Harvard Street to University Avenue, is necessary in order to replace a damaged traffic signal mast arm at Johnson and University.
Southbound traffic on Johnson will be redirected westbound onto Harvard. Businesses in an adjacent shopping center will remain accessible via a driveway on Harvard; however, all other entrances to the center will be closed. Furthermore, Westbound traffic on University will be detoured north onto Johnson.
Questions should be directed to the City’s Traffic Operations division at 325-657-4377.
