Tonight, June 27, Fiddlestrings Tuesday Summer String Thing Series party on the patio continues with featured artist The Matt Day Band taking the stage around 9 p.m.
"Tonight, we'll be playing an acoustic set promoting our new album coming out in July called 'The Ballad of Billy and Becky,' with kind of a Bonnie and Clyde story theme," said front man Matt Day.
He added, "We all work full-time jobs but play as much as we can whenever and wherever, from East and West Texas on up into Oklahoma."

Hailing from the Ft. Worth Texas area, this band's roots are Country to the core. Playing some of your favorites from the 80s and 90s, plus a few originals here and there; it's a feel good, sing along, swing your partner experience no country music fan should miss out on.
Ever so humble, this basically self-promoted and managed group is personable, plays relatable music, and being family oriented only adds to their charm. One Facebook posted video shows the band playing with Matt's 2-year-old son sitting front and center on the foot of the stage dancing along.
"I have a 17-year-old daughter, that one, and a daughter on the way any hour now, and it looks like they are all going to follow suit musically," said the proud father of three. My fiance has stood by me 100 percent as far as my music career goes, and it means so much to me as it's where I'm supposed to be."
At only 37 years old, Matt said he "feels like the old guy being on the road," but wouldn't trade places with anyone as music is his calling.
"A lot of young singers ask me for advice, and I sure wish I had someone to advise me back then when I started out singing about 11 years ago," said Matt.
Although they will not have a "merch" table at this show, Matt added, "I'm gonna have a few singles off the album I will be handing out for free and some stickers, as we are currently working on some promo stuff."
Matt noted that this will be his first time at Fiddlestrings, and he's really looking forward to it.
