On July 15 and 16, the San Angelo Claybird Association will be hosting the 17th Annual Shannon Sporting Clay Shoot.
Registration is now open for for the Clay Shoot. The Clay Shoot is the largest charity shoot in Texas. This event attracts more that 700 shooters and 1,500 spectators each year. The registration fee is $150 per shooter.
The shoot will feature three shooting rotations.
- First rotation: Friday, July 15, at 4 p.m.
- Second rotation: Saturday, July 16, at 8:30 a.m.
- Third rotation: Saturday, July 16, at noon
During each rotation, shooters will get to shoot one of three courses during a rotation with 100 targets per course. More than 40 guns will be given away by random draw during the exciting live auction which rounds out the event.
Proceeds of the Clay Shoot will benefit multiple departments at Shannon. The programs benefiting from the 2016 event include:
- AirMed1-regional outreach
- Diabetes Management Outreach
- Outpatient Dialysis programs
- Shannon Care Coordination
- Shannon Cares Fund for Case Management
- Shannon Supportive Health Services
