Tonight, Elaina Kay will take the stage at Blaine's Pub at 10 p.m. The singer-songwriter said, "It will be my first time in San Angelo and I'm really looking forward to it".
Currently residing in Weatherford Texas, Elaina said, "I grew up in the Texoma area, have been singing since the age of 10, joined the choir in high school, and am self taught on the guitar."
When her older brother played in garage bands as a teenager, Elaina found herself right in there singing along word for word with the guys.
She was raised in a "country girl" lifestyle as her family ranched, farmed, and trained horses for a living. During her college years, Elaina roped, rode barrel and cutting horses,and competed with the Rodeo Team on weekends, alternating with playing "honky tonk gigs." Elaina attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville and sought a double major in Biology and Psychology. After graduating, she "landed a fantastic job as a Pharmacy Sales Rep."
"After a few months, one day I just realized the music was more important, as I had a hunger for it, and have been playing full time for the last two years," Elaina said.

As for the band's specific genre they play, she said, "Me and the band kind of came up with our own genre and called it 'Ranch Rock 'n' Roll' cause we like rock and country at the same time."
The band consists of Elaina on lead vocals and guitar, Sam Jones on drums, Jon Farrar on lead guitar and 'Flick' Maloney on bass guitar.

Although she hasn't put out a recent release in almost a year, Elaina's self-titled EP is on iTunes and Spotify, and will be available at her 'merch' table. A down to earth kind of gal who knows her listeners are what fuels her, Elaina welcomes taking photos and autographs with a special message to fans: "Come on out to the show; have a good time; buy the record on iTunes; and be sure and give me a hug!"
