The San Angelo Schools Foundation will host the fifth annual “Sip. Savor. Support Students” event -- an evening of wine tasting, art, music, and great food. The event will be held at the Stables at Fort Concho on March 10 at 6 p.m., said a press release Friday.
Rio Concho Catering will team with students from the SAISD Culinary Arts program to provide a gourmet dinner; a selection of wines will also be served. Other features of the evening will include a silent auction with artwork from SAISD high school students, and a live auction, featuring such items as an Argentinean dove hunt, an African safari, a private dinner party with Chef Tim Condon, and much more.
Musical entertainment will be provided by SAISD graduate Tommy Tarango.
This event is the primary fundraiser for the Schools Foundation, which supports the students and teachers of SAISD by providing classroom Grants to Teachers and scholarships for higher education.
