Drunk Driving and Drugs Rampant on Saturday

Drugs and alcohol were rampant in San Angelo on Saturday, accounting for the highest number of bookings into the Tom Green County Jail.

Of 37 inmates arrested, seven of them were booked for DWIs, eight for possession of marijuana, two for possession of another controlled substance, and two for public intoxication.

In contrast to Friday, there were no violent offenders arrested on charges of assault, however there were three instances of theft, one burglary, on e fraud and one forgery.

There were 29 inmates released on Saturday.
