Seven Princesses…and a Bear - Children’s Ballet

According to a press release Tuesday, tickets are now on sale for San Angelo Civic Ballet’s 3rd annual spring children’s ballet, Seven Princesses…and a Bear! This year’s production is an all new original ballet by Ballet Mistress, Suzanne Smith and will be held March 4th-5th at the Paul Ann Baptist Church Auditorium. The Ballet will also be hosting a princess tea party, Princess Charity’s Tea Party, on March 5th at noon prior to the Saturday afternoon matinee performance. The Tea Party will be held in the Paul Ann Baptist Children’s building.

Seven Princesses…and a Bear is an original children’s ballet with story and choreography by San Angelo Civic Ballet’s Ballet Mistress Suzanne Smith. The ballet follows the story of seven princesses, each representing a different virtue: Charity, Joy, Friendship, Perseverance, Hope, Patience, and Pride who through the course of the story learns to be humble. The story takes place in a beautiful kingdom full of magical creatures as well as an evil old witch and a bear! The music for this ballet is an all new original score written and recorded by composer Scott Gendel.

Princess Charity’s Tea Party will allow guests to meet and interact with the characters up close as they serve your tea with delicious tea sandwiches and beautiful cookies, hear the story of the ballet, and meet and take your picture with your favorite princess or the bear! Make it a special afternoon by attending the tea party at noon in the Paul Ann Baptist Children’s building and then walk over to take your seats for the 2 p.m. performance of Seven Princesses…and a Bear.

Princess Charity’s Tea Party tickets are $17 each. Seven Princesses…and a Bear tickets are $15 for students/children/military/seniors general seating, $18 for adult general seating, and $27 for premium reserved seating.
