For those people wanting to ring in the New Year away from their living room, and in a place that includes champagne toasts, free food, and live music, quite a few San Angelo hotspots have the night covered.
Concho's Downtown
San Angeloans looking for some live music along with inexpensive drinks and food can head downtown. Concho's will be featuring local rock band The Dogies beginning at 9 p.m. Concho's Downtown will have $1 Cinnamon shots and $2 Thin Mint shots. Not to mention, party goers can enjoy burgers, pizzas, and even chicken fried steak. This bar is also great for the early-birds, as they will open at 11 a.m.
Penny Tap House

T. Gozney Thornton's New Year's Eve Party
If you’d like to ring in the New Year away from a traditional bar, T. Gozney Thornton and the Old Hat Band has formed a tradition of sorts with a large NYE party at the Suez Shrine Temple, 2915 W Loop 306. Thornton and band play a mixture of classic country and his own repertoire of original songs. It’s music that you can dance to. Food, party favors, and set-ups are provided, and the event is BYOB. At midnight, there’s a New Year’s home-cooked breakfast buffet featuring black-eyed peas. The party starts at 8 p.m. and continues past midnight. Cover is $25 and is all-inclusive.
The House of Fifi DuBois
Clearwater will take the stage at 8 p.m. and there will be a $20 cover charge. While some may wonder "Why go somewhere with a $20 cover charge?" when they can go elsewhere for a cheaper price, Fifi DuBois herself stated that the atmosphere is all worth it.
"The music, the people, the ambiance; what else could you want?'" she said.
Fifi's will open at 3 p.m.
Shenanigan’s Sports Bar & Grill
For the celebrators looking for a little less traditional approach to their New Year’s Eve, Shenanigan’s will have the college football playoffs on the big screens. The specials include $3 rockets, $3 Fireball, and $3 Vegas Bombs, and of course their infamous menu will be available. Complimentary champagne will be provided for the midnight toast as well. Shenanigan's opens at 11 a.m. so it is the perfect place to grab a New Year's Eve lunch as well.
Fiddlestrings
Fiddlestrings will open at noon, per their usual schedule. In addition to drink specials such as $3.50 bomb shots and $2.50 domestic rockets, there will be a champagne toast at midnight.
The Deadhorse
D.J. Dr. Dollaz will be in the lounge and live music will also be provided by Seek Irony. Owner Rex Rogers said the best part about this celebration is “No cover!”
Additionally, The Deadhorse will host a champagne toast at midnight. The club opens at 2 p.m., so it is a great spot to grab a celebratory drink after work.
Little River Club
This club will have three bands on its stage for New Year’s Eve. Tiffany & The Lump, Tequila Brothers, and Whiskey Mike will all provide entertainment for the Little River Club crowd. The celebration will kick off at 9:30 p.m. There is a $7 per person cover. But, to reserve a table of eight, the cover is $25, plus $7 each person. Or, you can get a table for four to six for $15 plus cover. Free food, and a champagne toast are some added perks, and bottles of champagne will also be available for purchase. Little River will be open by noon on New Year's Eve.
Please note, that for those that are still unaware, Little River Club has relocated to the Old Stagecoach Saloon location at 4205 South Bryant Blvd.
