Where to Eat Out on Christmas Day

The holidays are always a hectic time of year for most. Luckily, a few San Angelo restaurants have chosen to remain open to make things a little less stressful for people who prefer to dine out on Christmas Day.

Therefore, to enjoy some holiday cheer away from home, residents can enjoy Chinese cuisine at China Garden, which will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. In addition to the Chinese cuisine, the restaurant will serve a traditional Christmas dinner on their buffet, including turkey and dressing, prime rib, and roast beef. The buffet wil be $12.95.

Nacho's will also open at 10 a.m., one hour earlier than usual, and will close at 2 p.m. They will also be serving Christmas dinner along with the typical Mexican food menu items. The kids can enjoy a visit with Santa Clause from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The meal prices are $13.99 for adults and $6.99 for children ages 10 and under.

While Asian Buffet will not have turkey and dressing, the restaurant will serve dinner all day long. The price is $10.99 and the Buffet will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Additionally, Golden Corral will serve turkey and dressing with its buffet. The restaurant hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A Christmas buffet will also be served at Black Sheep Bar and Grill from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are recommended, but not required.

Indian Cuisine "Taste of The Himalayas" at 3520 Knickerbocker Rd. is serving all day. They are a popular restaurant, earning a 4.5 star rating on Yelp.

Finally, Denny's will still remain open as part of their 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year schedule. However, IHOP will close at 2 p.m.

For those holiday party goers who may need to grab a bag of ice or six-pack on their way to the parents or grandparents' house, Stripes will be open 24 hours, per the usual schedule; Tres Amigos will be open for normal hours of 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

For those people who plan to do last-minute food and baking shopping on Christmas Eve, here are the store hours for a few local grocers. 

Albertson's, 6 a.m.-7 p.m.

H-E-B, 6 a.m.- 8 p.m.

Wal-Mart closes at 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve; Closed Christmas Day; Reopens on the 26th at 6 a.m.

Pinkie's Liquor, 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.
