SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Broadway Academy (SABA) will relocate to downtown San Angelo in January 2026, marking one of the largest expansions in the organization’s 20-year history.
SABA announced Thursday that it will move its operations to the second floor of 106 South Chadbourne Street, across from Fuentes. The new space will consolidate the academy’s three current facilities—its Taylor Street studio, additional classrooms, and a warehouse for costumes, sets, and props—into one centralized location.
According to the academy, more than 700 students participate in SABA programs each year. Leadership said limited space has long been the organization’s biggest challenge as it has continued to expand its offerings in performing arts education, productions and community partnerships.
The move will allow SABA to increase its capacity, bring all studios and resources under one roof, and enhance programming for students. The organization said the new unified space will support a “vibrant, unified home for the arts” and help it reach more young people.
SABA will finish its 2025 classes at its current Taylor Street location before transitioning to the downtown studio. Spring classes in the new space are scheduled to begin Jan. 19, 2026.
The academy also thanked its board of directors, supporters and community partners for helping secure the new location as SABA enters its next decade of service.
