Two San Angelo men who had outstanding arrest warrants for burglary and theft were located and arrested last night.
First, 48-year-old Anthony L. Woodson was located and arrested just after 5 p.m. yesterday at the Desert Shadows Apartments located at 4112 West Loop 306. Woodson was the subject of a felony arrest warrant for theft of property greater than $1,500 in value with two or more previous convictions in addition to three city warrants. Woodson was transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.
In a separate incident, 31-year-old Edward Damien Herridge was located and arrested just after 6 p.m. yesterday at the EZ Pawn Store located at 3101 Sherwood Way. Herridge, who was the subject of a felony burglary of a habitation warrant, was observed entering the store with a man later identified as 32-year-old Matthew Moore of San Angelo.
The pair were attempting to pawn a television set. Police arrested Moore for state jail felony possession of controlled substance (PG1) after police located a substance that field-tested positive for heroin on his person.
During an exterior sniff of the vehicle that Herridge and Moore were operating, Police Service Dog Thor alerted to the presence of contraband. During a vehicle search, Police located a large amount of suspected stolen property. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the contents processed and inventoried. Police believe the property may be linked to several unsolved burglaries.
