SAN ANGELO, TX — The Stranger Things Season 5 finale is not just airing on Netflix, as it will have a theatrical release as well.
Season 5 premiered on Wednesday, Nov. 26, with Volume 1, which was the first four episodes of the final season. That included:
- Episode 1: The Crawl
- Episode 2: The Vanishing of Holly Wheeler
- Episode 3: The Turnbow Trap
- Episode 4: Sorcerer
We won’t get into spoilers, but the final scene of Episode 4 gave fans a lot to be excited about. Actually, the last episode of Volume 1 reveals quite a bit.
Volume 2 will drop on Christmas Day and will feature the next three episodes titled:
- Shock Jock
- Escape From Camazotz
- The Bridge
Then, the final episode, The Rightside Up, will drop on New Year’s Eve at 7 p.m. The current runtime of The Rightside Up is 125 minutes. Not only will it drop on Netflix, but it will play in select theaters.
Currently, it is not confirmed to play at either Cinemark or Icon in San Angelo. Cinemark is in discussion as to whether it will run on the silver screen, and Icon stated it will know at a later date closer to New Year’s Eve.
It is, however, playing at Cinergy Midland South according to the st5finale.com website. It will also be playing at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema at North Park in San Antonio. CLICK HERE to get tickets.
