Cooler Weather for Thanksgiving in San Angelo Before a Much Colder Weekend

SAN ANGELO, TX — Thanksgiving week will stay seasonably cool across the Concho Valley before a sharper drop in temperatures arrives late this weekend, according to the National Weather Service San Angelo.

Forecasters say Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day will be mostly sunny, with morning lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s and highs reaching the mid-50s to lower 60s. Thanksgiving Day is expected to warm slightly, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the lower to mid-60s under clear skies.

Cloud cover will increase on Friday as lows dip into the lower to mid-40s and highs remain in the lower to mid-60s.

Warmer conditions are expected Saturday, when temperatures rise into the lower 70s across much of the region. Lows will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s.

A notable cooldown arrives Sunday. Forecast highs drop into the mid- to upper-40s while morning lows fall into the lower to mid-30s. The extended outlook shows continued cold weather into early next week, with highs in San Angelo struggling to reach the lower 50s by Tuesday and overnight lows near or below freezing.

The National Weather Service says the key takeaways for the holiday period include cool weather through Friday, near-normal temperatures Saturday, and a shift to much colder conditions beginning late Sunday and continuing into early next week.
