SAN ANGELO, TX — Residents will have an opportunity to voice their concerns and connect with neighbors during a “Fireside Chat” hosted by the Rural 1st Initiative on Friday, Sept. 26, at Firefighters Memorial City Park.
The event will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the park pavilion, located at 315 E. Twohig Ave. Organizers say the gathering has no agenda or set topics, and anyone is welcome to share issues that matter to them.
The community forum follows a similar listening event held on Constitution Day. According to organizers, that discussion featured both serious concerns and messages of hope, prompting the group to continue the conversations.
“Everyone deserves to feel seen and heard. This is your chance,” the flyer states.
The Rural 1st Initiative says the Fireside Chat is intended to promote healthy community dialogue at a time when division can make it difficult to find common ground.
For more information, the group can be contacted at 915-303-0004 or [email protected].
