Unlicensed Driver Flips His SUV in North San Angelo

An unlicensed driver flipped his older-model SUV on N. Bryant Blvd. Saturday morning after colliding with a 1998 Ford E-Series van.

According to the San Angelo police, northbound traffic on Bryant had a green light and traffic was flowing normally. Meanwhile the driver of a green Chevy Trailblazer was eastbound on 19th Street wanting to turn north on Bryant. Disregarding a red light, the Trailblazer driver ran out in front of the oncoming traffic.

A silver Ford E-Series van that was northbound on Bryant and the green Chevy Trailblazer collided. The force of the impact flipped the green Trailblazer.

Police said that the driver of the Trailblazer was cited for driving without a license and running the red light with a specific charge of failure to yield the right-of-way.

The Trailblazer driver suffered minor cuts and bruises. The “Ford tough” van received a courtesy pull to get its bumper off driver’s side wheel from the San Angelo Fire Department and drove away on its own power.

The crash happened just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the intersection of N. Bryant and 19th Street.
