City Offices to Close for Labor Day

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo city offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day.

Trash collection will continue without interruption, but the landfill will be closed Saturday, Aug. 30.

The city’s Municipal Pool will remain open for public swimming from noon to 6 p.m. through Sunday, Aug. 31, weather permitting. Admission is $5 for ages 3–64, $3 for those 65 and older, and free for children 2 and younger. Updates are available at sanangelo.gov/pool.

Fort Concho, including the Barracks 1 Visitor Center, will open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday for self-guided tours. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and military, $1.50 for children ages 7–17, and free for children 6 and younger. For more information, call 325-481-2646.

Among the city operations closed on Sept. 1 are:

  • Animal Shelter

  • City Hall and City Hall Annex

  • Fairmount Cemetery business offices

  • Municipal Court

  • Parks and Recreation offices

  • San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department

  • Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers

  • Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing senior centers

  • Women, Infants & Children (WIC) office

City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2.
