Rain Chances Dwindle This Weekend, Temperatures Drop Into the 80s Next Week

SAN ANGELO, TX — Rain chances across West Central Texas will dwindle through the weekend before increasing again by the middle of next week, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today and Friday, especially south of a Sterling City-to-Brownwood line. By Saturday and Sunday, rain chances drop to near zero, with a drier pattern holding through the weekend.

Temperatures will remain warmer than normal, with highs in the mid-90s for San Angelo through Sunday and upper 90s in Abilene. A shift in the pattern early next week will bring cooler conditions, with highs dropping into the 80s and rain chances climbing to 40 percent by Tuesday and Wednesday.

Light east to northeast winds of 5 to 10 mph are also expected.
