Burgers and Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs to Replace Taco Joint in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — A new fast-food restaurant called 1st BITE, specializing in burgers and bacon-wrapped hot dogs, is preparing to open at 1724 S. Chadbourne St. in San Angelo, the same address recently vacated by Tacos Locos after its closure at the end of May.

The business announced its upcoming launch this week through several posts on its Facebook page, describing the venture as “a whole new flavor experience” and asking followers to stay tuned for opening details. The restaurant has not yet shared an official opening date.

Tacos Locos, which served Mexican cuisine in San Angelo for a decade, cited staffing shortages and logistical challenges as reasons for its closure. The family behind Tacos Locos had relocated from San Angelo nearly three years ago and struggled to keep the business operating from a distance.

According to 1st BITE’s social media and business listings, the restaurant plans to offer homemade fast food items.
