Tacos Locos to Close After 10 Years in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — After a decade of serving Mexican cuisine in San Angelo, Tacos Locos will permanently close its doors on May 31, the restaurant announced in a social media post Monday evening.

Owners attributed the closure to staffing shortages and limited operating hours, challenges that worsened after the family relocated out of San Angelo nearly three years ago. Despite efforts to sustain the restaurant remotely and secure a new partner, owner David Solis said the opportunity to continue operations did not materialize.

“We worked hard to keep the restaurant going from a distance,” Solis wrote. “But staffing shortages and limited hours have made that increasingly difficult.”

The post thanked customers for their loyalty over the years and encouraged the community to visit in the restaurant’s final weeks. Solis also asked for help spreading the word and invited interested buyers, renters or potential partners to contact him directly by phone.

Tacos Locos is asking customers to “come enjoy your favorite tacos one last time” and help close out the chapter with love.
