CROSBY, TX — Two children were found dead in a Texas river Sunday morning.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, on July 15, 2023, deputies responded to 1927 Gulf Pump Rd. in Crosby.
Once on scene, they learned that two children, ages of 12 & 6, went under water and did not resurface.
The HCSO marine unit and other support teams then searched the river.
After hours of searching, the team was able to recover both bodies. The recovery happened just after midnight.
Authorities have not released the identities of the two children. The HCSO confirmed the older child was a girl and the younger was a boy.
The incident occurred near the Xtreme Off Road Park and Beach.
