Tragedy Strikes After Christmas Day Murder-Suicide

 

HOUSTON, TX –– A double death on Christmas Day left five children orphaned in Harris County.

According to local news outlets, first responders were dispatched to the 5600 block of Daun St around 1:00 a.m. When officers entered the home, they found the couple deceased in an apparent murder-suicide.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victims, a married couple had attended a Christmas Eve party hours before the incident occurred

While details have not been released at this time, one of the parents shot the other and then killed themselves.

Inside the home, officers found five children, ages 7 to 16, unharmed. They were removed from the house and put into the custody of Children's Protective Services.

The incident remains under investigation.
