Woman Dragged off Plane & Arrested After Punching Southwest Flight Attendant

DALLAS, TX –– A woman is behind bars after allegedly punching an operations agent on a Southwest Airlines flight at Dallas Love Field.

According to the Dallas Police Department, 32-year-old Arielle Jean Jackson was traveling from Dallas Love Field to La Guardia in New York on Saturday.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Jackson had a verbal altercation with an operations agent at the back of the plane. After she was asked to get off the plane, Jackson argued with another operations agent at the front of the plane.

That altercation escalated and resulted in Jackson punching the employee in the head with a closed fist.

The employee was taken to the hospital and released later that day. The cause of the argument has not been released at this time.

Jackson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. She was booked into the Dallas County Jail and her bond was set at $10,000.

“We do not have an update on her condition but we have a station manager with her at the hospital with the full support of her Southwest Family sending our thoughts, prayers, and love,” said Southwest Airlines in a statement. “Southwest Airlines maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding any type of harassment or assault and fully support our employee as we cooperate with local authorities regarding this unacceptable incident.”
