BIRMINGHAM, AL –– As Aggieland celebrated the win against the crimson tide Saturday, a football disagreement 700 miles away turned deadly.
According to the Bessemer, AL Police Department, the argument over which team was better took place on Saturday evening inside a home.
As the argument escalated, the homeowner asked the two individuals to leave. Once they were outside the home, the people inside heard multiple shots fired.
When police arrived at the scene around 11:00 p.m., they located 27-year-old Kealand Amad Pickens with multiple gunshot wounds in the torso.
Pickens was transported to a local hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect has not been identified publically and remains at large.
