Deputy Arrested After Punching Inmate In The Face

 

SAN ANTONIO – A fight at the  Bexar County Adult Detention Center resulted in a deputy losing his job Tuesday night.

According to authorities, the inmate and 34-year-old deputy, Peter Martinez, got into an argument that quickly turned physical.

It was at this time that Martinez punched the inmate in the face.

The inmate was medically evaluated and transported back to his cell. The deputy was arrested and charged with assault with bodily injury and official oppression. 

According to Salazar, officials are going through the process of firing Martinez.
