SAN ANTONIO, TX –– An 18-year-old hotel guest is facing serious charges after he allegedly assaulted a cleaning lady at gunpoint.
According to SAPD, Dezmynd Cannady was a guest at a hotel on the 6000 block of NW Loop 410. On April 18th, officers were dispatched to the hotel for reports of a sexual assault in progress.
When police arrived at the scene, they learned the victim had been cleaning a vacant room when Cannady entered and demanded money while threatening with a gun.
When the victim told Cannady she did not have money, he forced her into a bathroom and made her disrobe. He would then sexually assault the victim and leave the hotel.
The victim would then identify Cannady in a photo lineup and describe the clothes that he was seen wearing in the surveillance video.
Cannady was arrested on July 28th and charged with aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony. His bond was set at $85,000.
