Former Boyfriend Kills New Boyfriend During Dispute

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A lover's triangle left at least one person dead in a fatal shooting in San Antonio over the weekend.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, 33-year-old Curtis Parnell was with his girlfriend at a home on the West Side.

Around 10:00 p.m. Sunday the woman's ex-boyfriend, Devonte Campbell, showed up at the house and got into an argument with the victim.

The situation escalated and Campbell pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the chest. When officers arrived at the scene they found Parnell lying on the floor with a single gunshot wound.

Parnell would eventually succumb to his injuries and Campbell fled the scene.

Campbell was later arrested near the crime scene without incident. He was subsequently charged with first-degree murder and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
