Drunk Mother Arrested After Crashing Into Patrol Vehicle

 

DUMAS, TX – A mother of two is behind bars after she allegedly drove drunk and crashed into a sheriff deputy's car in Dumas, TX.

According to the Moore County Sheriff's Office, Melissa Maddox was driving on an overpass near the  300 block of West 1st Street on Wednesday. Maddox merged onto a new lane and struck the deputy's vehicle.

When the officer approached Maddox's vehicle, he noticed she smelled like alcohol and there were open beer cans inside the car.

In the backseat, the deputy found two children and an open box of beer.

Maddox was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with child passengers.

The name of the town is an apt description of this woman. She may not be a card carrying member of MADD, but I'll bet she has her DAMM card,(Drunks Against Mad Mothers).
