Police: Body in Hotel May Belong to Missing Boy

 

JASPER, TX -- The Department of Public Safety and the Jasper Police Department have confirmed a body was found at a Best Western Inn. Investigators believe the remains belong to 6-year-old Samuel Olson.

Samuel was reported missing on May 27th after an individual claimed the child had been abducted. He was last seen by non-family members was at school by April 30th. The boy's grandmother told police she last heard him over the phone a little over a week ago.

Police confirmed a suspect is in custody and will be interviewed by homicide detectives.
