HOUSTON, TX – An ex-lovers quarrel turned deadly after a man alleged his former girlfriend broke into his home in the middle of the night.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Pardee St. for reports of a shooting victim.
When officers arrived at the apartment complex they located a woman who had succumbed to her injuries after being shot in the chest.
The man who lived in the apartment told officers he was awoken shortly after 4:00 a.m. by someone banging on his door. When he answered the door his ex-girlfriend barged inside the two began to argue.
A struggle ensued and the man shot his ex-girlfriend.
The man was interviewed by detectives, but according to authorities, no charges are expected.
