BEAUMONT, TX -- Ater going viral in 2019 for licking a tub of Bluebell ice cream in Walmart, 26-year-old D'Adrien Anderson was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 180 days on probation in March of last year.
According to Anderson, after he recorded himself licking the ice cream and returning it to the refrigerator, he removed the tub and purchased the ice-cream.
Even though Anderson presented investigators with the receipt that proved he bought the contaminated tub, the district attorney argued the store had been forced to remove a substantial amount of product due to health concerns.
Back in January, Anderson was arrested for trespassing and his probation was revoked. According to the district attorney, he also failed to show up to probation meetings and pay his fees.
On Thursday, a judge granted the motion to revoke the probation and Anderson will be required to serve 180 days in Jefferson County Jail. His bond has been set at $5,000.
As part of his sentence, Anderson was requiered to pay $1,000 fine and $1,565 in restitution to Blue Bell.
