PASADENA, TX – A 35-year-old man is facing capital murder charges after he allegedly shot a 6-year-old girl after she spilled water.
According to the Pasadena Police Department, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on Shaver Street for reports of a shooting victim.
When officers arrived at the scene they located six-year-old Laurionne Walker with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
According to neighbors at the scene, they had observed Raymeon Means in the area often.
A few moments before the shooting Means knocked on a neighbors door.
“He knocked on the door and he was like, “Oh, can you check if you have water coming down because the little girl clogged the toilet," Neighbor Mauricio Alvarez told local media.
Means then left and returned to an upstairs apartment.
“Means was banging on a car. The woman upstairs had a knife and they were saying, ‘Get out of here. Get out of here!’” Alvarez said. “[Later] he went running upstairs, and we heard like 4-5 shots, and he started running, and we started hearing screams.”
Means was arrested and he was charged with capital murder for the death of the child. He is being held with no bond.
