Five-Year-Old Shot By Toddler

 

LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock Police Department is investigating a child shooting that occurred on Sunday afternoon.

According to LPD, three small children were playing in a stationary vehicle outside a home as their father worked on another vehicle.

The preliminary investigation revealed a three-year-old child was sitting in the front seat and found a loaded gun in the center console.

The three-year-old discharged the gun and struck the five-year-old sitting in the passenger seat.

The five-year-old was transported to University Medical Center with serious injuries.
