Burglar Shot by Homeowner

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX – After an alleged burglar was shot while attempting to break-in into a house, he ran for help to a nearby fire station.

According to law enforcement, officers were dispatched to San Antonio Fire Station No. 13 for reports of a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

During the subsequent investigation, police learned the man was shot by a homeowner when he attempted to break into a home. At the scene, officers found a pickax outside the home they believed the suspect used to pry a window.

The homeowner shot at the suspect through the window and the bullet struck him in the chest.

The suspect ran to the fire station that was only one block away. He was then transported to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The homeowner is not expected to face charges.
