Sheriff: Murder Suspects Arrested 11 Months After Fatal Shooting

REEVES, TX -- The Reeves County Sheriff's Office has confirmed two suspects have been arrested in connection to a murder at a man camp earlier this year.

According to the sheriff's office, back in January deputies were dispatched to the Target Lodging Pecos man camp for reports of an unresponsive individual.

Upon arriving at the scene deputies locate 31-year-old Luis Miguel Sanchez Ontiveros. Sanchez-Ontiveros had been shot outside of his room. He was declared dead at the scene.

The investigation led deputies to 27-year-old Kyristian Renae Aguilar and 27-year-old Dayshon Johnson.

According to the sheriff's office, Sanchez-Ontiveros hired a prostitute and Aguilar showed up with Johnson.

An argument ensued and Sanchez-Ontiveros was shot.

Aguilar was arrested in Lubbock on November 25  on warrants for Misdemeanor Prostitution out of McLennan County and first-degree murder out of Reeves County.

Johnson was arrested in Lubbock on December 7 for drug possession and murder.
