Police Searching For Suspect Accused of Setting Girlfriend on Fire

 

HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Police Department is searching for a suspect accused of setting his girlfriend on fire.

According to investigators, 60-year-old Harold Lynn Celestine got into an argument with his girlfriend, 40-year-old Lasheak Wilborn early Saturday morning.

The couple was visiting a friend when Celestine set Wilborn on fire.

Wilborn was severely burned while the friend, who helped put out the fire, suffered a minor burn to the shoulder.

Witness told police they called 9-1-1 after seeing Wilborn screaming in the street. The witnesses also stated her clothes were melting to her body.

Wilborn is currently hospitalized in critical condition.

According to police, Celestine fled and the scene in a gold 2005 Honda Accord.

Celestine will be charged with aggravated assault of a family member.
