Police Officer Arrested for Drunk Driving

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- A San Antonio Police officer was arrested early Thursday morning for drunk driving.

According to SAPD, Officer Rafael Hernandez was observed speeding and swerving around 3:00 a.m.

After being pulled over and undergoing a field sobriety test Hernandez was arrested. He was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated.

The police department confirmed Hernandez was placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues.

Hernandez has been with the agency for three and a half years.
