Sheriff: Five Boats Go Under During MAGA Boat Rally

 

AUSTIN, TX -- A boat parade in support of President Trump ended with five craft going under as MAGA supporters rallied in Lake Travis.

According to authorities, the influx of boats on the lake generated large waves that led to multiple boats experiencing issues.

According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, the parade began around 11:30 a.m. and the first distress call came in at 12:15 p.m. The last distress call came in at 1:53 p.m.

The sheriff's office confirmed it received a total of 15 distress calls over the course of two hours and a half. 

The calls featured a variety of issues including boats taking on water, stalled engines, capsized boats, and boats sinking.

According to reports, three of the five boats were submerged while two remained submerged.

All distress calls were resolved without anyone being injured.

According to TCSO, no evidence of foul play was found in any of the incidents.
