Police: Mom Killed 4-Year-Old By Slitting Her Throat

FORT WORTH — A Fort Worth mom is facing capital murder charges after she allegedly killed her 4-year-old daughter.

According to Fort Worth PD, the mother, identified as 34-year-old Krystal Lewandowski, called 9-1-1 late Monday night to file a missing person’s report.

She initially told the operator that her daughter had disappeared from the backyard.

As the operator continued to ask more questions Lewandowski allegedly said “Ok, maybe I should just tell you now. Ok, so last night I was advised to slit her throat.”

According to the affidavit, she also told the operator she has wrapped up the little girl’s body and put her inside the trash can. When officers arrived, they located the four-year-old’s body.

Lewandowski would go on to tell investigators that she had “saved” her daughter from something worse happening to her.

A one-year-old boy was also found inside the house and Child Prevention Services worked to find family members that could care for him. According to CPS, Lewandowski had a history with the agency.

Lewandowski was arrested and charged with capital murder and her bond has been set at $750,000.

If there ever was a justification for eye for an eye justice, this is it. Let her bleed out like a lamb for slaughter.....

But if she hadn't confessed, and there was no clear cut evidence... could any of us truly believe that a mother was capable of doing that to her own child? Would we want to?
