Vanessa Guillen's Memorial Service to be Held This Friday

HOUSTON, TX — The Guillen Family has announced a memorial service will be held for Specialist Vanessa Guillen in Houston this Friday.

Guillen’s disappearance and murder captured national headlines as horrifying details were released to the public. Nearly four months after she was killed inside Fort Hood Vanessa’s remains will be laid to rest this weekend.

According to ABC 13, a memorial service will be held on Friday at Vanessa’s former high school, Chavez High School's soccer field from noon to 8 p.m. The memorial service will be open to the public.

On Saturday, the Guillen family will host a private funeral and Vanessa will be laid to rest at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in southeast Houston.
