Teen Arrested Months After Stabbing Homeless Man To Death

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Nearly two months after a homeless man was stabbed to death, authorities have arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection to the murder.

According to KSAT, 50-year-old Michael Dean Allen was killed on May 8 as he and his wife slept in their tent near Culebra Creek Park.

Allen’s wife told police that when she woke up she saw 18-year-old Isaiah Andres Enriquez stabbing her husband.

When she attempted to grab the knife from Enriquez, she cut herself. Enriquez then fled the scene on foot wearing a dark mask and clothing.

According to Allen’s wife, only two people knew where they kept their tent in the woods near the park and the suspect was one of them.

On July 9, Enriquez was arrested on July 9 on an unrelated warrant but confessed to police he had stabbed Allen.

His bond has been set at $100,000.
