Man Bungles Robbery, Tells Cashier "I'll Be Back Later"

SAN ANTONIO, TX — A San Antonio man was charged after he robbed a cell phone store armed with a knife.

According to KTXS, Gilbert Moreno walked into the store on June 18 and demanded cash. The employee told Moreno he didn’t have access to the cash box.

Moreno then told the employee he was going to steal something from the store and began taking apart a sound system.

When the employee began calling 9-1-1, Moreno told him “he would be back later and fled on his bicycle."

The employee recognized Moreno as a customer of the store and was able to identify him to the police.

Moreno was charged with aggravated robbery.
