Street Racers Killed in Fatal Crash

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX — A horrific crash in northern San Antonio sent five people to the hospital and resulted in the death of two people.

According to KSAT, on Wednesday around 4:24 p.m., SAPD officers were dispatched to the intersection of Pinewood Lane and McCullough Avenue for reports of a crash.

According to police, at least three vehicles were involved in the fatal wreck. Authorities believe two of the vehicles were racing down McCullough Ave when one of them lost control and struck a tree. 

The vehicle had five occupants, all believed to be teens or in their early 20s. Two of the five occupants were killed at the scene.

A third vehicle was hit as it attempted to cross the intersection and was clipped by one of the racers.

Authorities believe a fourth vehicle was involved, but they fled the scene before police arrived.

The crash remains under investigation.
