Woman Drowns While Tubing On The Comal River

 

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX — A 22-year-old woman seemingly drowned while tubing along the Comal River according to authorities.

According to KABB, the woman, identified as Devon Walton of Houston, went underwater near the Tube Chute. When Walton resurfaced, she had trouble breathing. 

Responding officers stated Walton was alert and able to speak, but she lost consciousness before EMTs arrived.

Walton was transported to the hospital where she later passed. An autopsy was ordered to determine her cause of death.
