Faithful to the End: Stray Puppy Refuses to Leave Sister's Side

KINGSVILLE, TX -- After a vehicle ran over his sister, a stray puppy in Kingsville refused to leave her side on Friday.

According to KTXS, officials received a call about a dead dog on the side of the road. When officers arrived they found the dog sitting by his sister's side like a protector.

According to the Kingsville Kleberg Animal Control Care Center, officers had a hard time convincing the puppy to leave his sister's side. The dog was taken to the center and has been placed in stray hold for the required four days.

The dog was named " Guardian" and according to the center he will be adopted by a family on May 29th.
