Homeowner Stops Burglar During Home Invasion

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio family was awakened early Saturday morning after a burglar attempted to break into their house. But when police responded they found the burglar being restrained by the owner of the house.

According to KABB, SAPD responded to a home on the 300 block of Kate Schenck Avenue around 1:15 a.m. for reports of a shooting in progress. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the homeowner holding down the would-be burglar.

The homeowner told police he grabbed his gun and confronted the burglar. During the struggle, the gun went off, but no one was shot. The burglar was injured during the struggle and was taken to the hospital with deep lacerations to the head.

The burglar will face multiple charges.
