MENARD, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation will host a public meeting on Thursday, Jan. 16, to discuss proposed improvements to a 10.6-mile stretch of US 83 in Menard County.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at the Menard Community Center, located at 303 W Travis St.
The proposed project includes two phases: widening US 83 into a four-lane divided highway and potentially expanding it into a controlled-access interstate system with frontage roads, pending funding and planning.
Community members are encouraged to attend and provide input, as public feedback will play a role in shaping the project.
