Central Bobcats Face First Scrimmage Thursday

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Central Bobcats face their first test of the season on Thursday, when the Bobcats scrimmage Lubbock Coronado at San Angelo Stadium.

Head Coach Mark Smith gave his thoughts on the Bobcats' progress so far through the first week of fall camp and previewed the scrimmage against the Mustangs at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

The scrimmage will begin with the junior varsity and freshman teams each taking one half of the field at 5 p.m., with scripted plays and scenarios. The varsity scrimmage begins at 6:15, where Central and Coronado will play a "live half' of football before breaking down into scripted plays and other in-game scenarios.

The scrimmage is free and open to the public.
