Everything to Know About the 2025 San Angelo Rodeo and Carnival

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The 93rd annual San Angelo Rodeo — and everything that comes with it — begins this weekend.

The feature attraction is one of the top 10 rodeos in the nation, which starts Friday night at Foster Communications Coliseum, 50 E. 43rd St.

There’s also all of the food and fun at the carnival, live music at the Buffalo Social Club, and the rodeo parade.

Here’s a rundown of everything you need to know for the 2025 San Angelo Rodeo and its festivities from April 4-20:

San Angelo Rodeo performances

  • Friday, April 4 - 7 p.m. 
  • Saturday, April 5 - 1 p.m. 
  • Saturday, April 5 - 7 p.m. 
  • Sunday, April 6 - 2 p.m. 
  • Thursday, April 10 - 7 p.m. 
  • Friday, April 11 - 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 12 - 1 p.m. 
  • Saturday, April 12 - 7 p.m. 
  • Sunday, April 13 - 2 p.m. - Xtreme Bulls
  • Wednesday, April 16 - 7 p.m. - Military Appreciation
  • Thursday, April 17 - 7 p.m. - Cancer Awareness
  • Friday, April 18 - 7 p.m. - PRCA Finals
  • Saturday, April 19 - 7 p.m. - Cinch Chute-Out
  • Sunday, April 20 - 2 p.m. - Tejano Day Extravaganza

The rodeo finals on Friday, April 18, will feature the top 12 competitors in each event tying for the title.

The Cinch Chute-Out on Saturday, April 19, is an all-star performance that will showcase 10 of the top competitors in the nation in each event.

The Tejano Day Extravaganza on Sunday, April 20, will close out the rodeo with a special performance of a Mexican rodeo produced by the Jerry Diaz family.

San Angelo Rodeo tickets

Most of the performances have already sold out, though there were a handful of individual tickets available online as of Tuesday, April 1.

There were still groups of tickets available for the Tejano Day Extravaganza on Sunday, April 20.

Western Finance Carnival

The Western Finance Carnival will open at 5 p.m. Friday, April 4, at the fairgrounds next to Foster Communications Coliseum, 50 E. 43rd St.

The carnival will feature classic attractions, including a Ferris wheel, roller coasters, carnival games, and food vendors serving funnel cakes and other favorites.

Admission to the fairgrounds is free with the purchase of a Carnival Super Pass or a rodeo ticket.

General gate admission costs $8 for adults and $5 for children 11 and under.

The Carnival Super Pass, which grants unlimited rides throughout the event, is available for $150 plus a $5 service fee, with sales opening on March 3 at www.sanangelorodeo.com.

A one-day unlimited ride armband is also available for $40, with gate admission required.

The carnival will be open April 4-6, 9-13 and 16-20.

The hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday-Friday, noon to midnight on Saturdays, and noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays.

The carnival will be open from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, April 18.

Live music schedule

The Buffalo Social Club, also known as the Beer Barn, will host live music after rodeo performances at the Lone River Stage.

The scheduled performances are:

  • April 4 – Cooper Hamilton
  • April 5 – Wynn Williams
  • April 10 – Jake Worthington
  • April 11 – Tyler Halverson
  • April 12 – Huser Brothers
  • April 16 – Gunnar Latham
  • April 17 – Jacob Stelly
  • April 18 – Case Hardin
  • April 19 – Coleman Jennings

San Angelo Rodeo parade

The rodeo parade is held the first Saturday after the rodeo begins as a way to officially kick off the event. This year’s parade starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5.

Regardless of weather, the parade will go on, with the exception of lightning. 

The parade is held in downtown San Angelo, and features riding clubs, antique tractors, wagons, marching bands and floats. 

Below is the specified parade route: 

  • Irving and Concho Street
  • Proceed East to Oakes
  • Turn left on Oakes to Twohig
  • Turn left on Twohig
  • Proceed to Chadbourne
  • Turn right on Chadbourne and proceed to College Street
  • Turn Left of College Street
  • Continue to Irving, turn left on Irving to Beauregard
  • Turn right on Beauregard, proceed to Randolph
  • Turn left on Randolph, proceed to River Drive and dismiss.
