NEW YORK, NY— The New York Jets have fired their head coach after five games.
The New York Jets have fire Robert Saleh after starting the season 2-3.
Salah was hired in 2021 and has an overall record of 20-36. Last offseason, the Jets brought in Aaron Rodgers to be the team’s quarterback, and things have not worked out yet. Of course, Rodgers was injured last season, and the position has been as unstable as they come.
The Jets have had six quarterbacks since Saleh took over and have any spent a first-round draft pick on a quarterback but still have not figured out signal caller.
Going into last season, the expectations were extremely high for the Jets until Rodger’s injury.
In 2022, the Jets had both the offensive and defensive rookie of the year in Garret Wilson and Sauce Gardner, adding to the high expectations heading into 2023.
Jets defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich will serve as the interim head coach for the rest of the season.
